Calling All Business & Community Partners!

Discovery High School is seeking local businesses and organizations interested in hiring students, offering internships, or supporting career exploration opportunities.

My name is Sherri Stephenson, and I serve as the Work-Based Learning Coordinator at Discovery High School. I work closely with students who are motivated, career-ready, and actively seeking employment, internships, and hands-on learning experiences while completing high school. Our unique school schedule allows some students to work full days on Wednesdays and Fridays, providing added flexibility for employers.

At Discovery, we are committed to helping students explore career pathways, gain real-world experience, and prepare for life after graduation. Partnerships with local businesses are essential to this mission, and we would love to connect with employers who are open to supporting and mentoring high school students.

Ways to partner with Discovery High School include:

• Hiring students for part-time, full-time, or summer employment
• Offering internships through our Work-Based Learning program
• Providing job shadowing opportunities
• Participating in our Career Fair on March 4
• Speaking with students about industry insights, career pathways, and workforce expectations

We are flexible and happy to work around your availability and level of interest. Our goal is to create meaningful partnerships that benefit both students and employers while helping build a strong local workforce.
